Site Updates
This post is over a year old. Content may have changed, moved or may be wrong in it's entirety. The views that I express here probably have changed. If you feel this is in error, or something I should correct or clarify, please feel free to email me using the link below the post. Thank you.
I’ve been working on updating some of the data-driven pages on my
site, instead of backlogged content. Many of my pages are lists, or
content that is repeated frequently, so I decided to move them into
Hugo’s data format to make it easier to update. Instead of having to
write awkward HTML for each wishlist item, or new
bookmark, I can add a stanza of JSON to and then rebuild
to update. That way I don’t have to worry about missing fields,
improperly nested tags and all the associated metadata for links and
the like.
I’m also looking at updating the site’s style a bit. There is a cool color pallet that I’d like to try. Given it’s similarity to the “standard” web colors, I don’t think it’ll be too much of a problem.
